What a Dad! We admire him for being such a great father. He has a fun time with his children, his computers, his games, his wife and we enjoy sharing his world. His world of computer programing is a mystery to us, but we stand in awe of his work. He also knows what makes a good steak - well done. He knows how to select a good book to read. Let's find a chocolate cup cake!

Featuring a family member
The favorite aunt. How does she accomplish so much with her reading, photography, with her career, with the girls at church and with the family? Her smile is infectuous. It is a treat to spend time with her.

She makes life fun for all around her. Without her, what would I know of Corner Bakery and Pasadena sunshine? Beautiful smile. Very kind to us. Drives the Swagger Wagon with swagger. The mother of two plus wonderful grandchildren that make my life happy. Thanks for being an important part of our family.

Splice of barbed wire
This old and rusty splice of two barbed wire strands reminds me of some marriages, partnerships or other mergers - twisted together with a pair of pliers without any thought or care for how the combination will look and feel after the event. But, you say, "we don't have time to thread together the individual strands to make a smooth and happy combination. We just need (want) to be together." However, thoughtless combinations, like some ill-conceived marriages or living arrangements or careless combinations are likely to end up with a twisted, rusty splice that looks bad and feels worse. The fabric of lives are torn until it is unraveled and properly put back together or cut away and left on the ground."

Summer Flower
Good bye to the noise and nuisance of the cicadas and welcome to the simple beauties of a summer flower. It is like when we wake up and discover that some of our material and personal goals in life are just noisy distractions that are replaced by simple pleasures like a call from a grandchild, a good book, being at church with family and friends or enjoying a summer flower.

Clematus
We trimmed back the Clematus plant that grows by the mail box. It came back with hundreds of flowers.
