Santiago Temple

The Santiago Chile temple, as you can see, is in a beautiful, quiet area, befitting a house of the Lord.

Wrong Church Sign

A number of years ago I took this picture across the street from a venerable and well known church in South St. Louis. The neighborhood has deteriorated.

Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis

Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis between Washington University and Kingshighway is well-known for its diversity of homes in terms of architecture, size, and building materials. This is one of the grand homes that I love. Following are a couple of other good examples. It is worth the trip to drive this famous boulevard to see these wonderful homes.

Pleasant Creek (aptly named)

I had a hankering to remember some rich fall colors found in this photo taken at Pleasant Creek in a remote part of Wayne County, Utah and Capitol Reef National Park.

WildTurkeys

This is why I always have my camera with me on Saturdays. I took a little detour off the interstate in Chesterfield, Missouri to swing by the bank. To my surprise, I spotted nine wild turkeys in an open field. I stopped the car, got out the long lens and fired away, catching these two beautiful birds headed for the tree line.

Wild Life Photography

How close can Ben get to the Mountain Goats in Capitol Reef National Park? As Ben tried to get closer the Mountain Goats began to slap the hard rock with their hooves as a warning not to approach.

Craters East of Flagstaff, Arizona

On our recent trip to Southern California, we flew over Flagstaff, Arizona. I took this picture showing 3 distinct craters east of Flagstaff. Can anyone identify these landmarks?

Mom and the man

Nothing is more beautiful than a mom with a new baby. How privileged we feel to have both in our lives!

Meet you soon at the Corner Bakery

For me, the Corner Bakery is, after family, the best part of Pasadena, California. When St. Louis is freezing, you can enjoy a nice morning outside in Pasadena with a bowl of oatmeal from the Corner Bakery.

Wise Men

http://lds.org/pages/wise-men-still-seek-him?lang=eng

They saw the star and recognized it as a prophecy fulfilled. The Christ child had been born. They followed the star and journeyed from afar to the city long foretold as His birthplace. They brought gifts.

What gift can I offer to the Lord and Creator of heaven and earth? He asks from me no tangible gift, rather an attitudinal change - a humble heart and a spirit more submissive to His will and example.

Thanksgiving Day Flowers

The flower arrangements that grace our Thanksgiving Day table bring beauty and refinement. Also, they provide some enjoyable moments for me in an attempt to capture the detail, colors and magnificence of these wonderful creations. Enjoy the following images!

Perspective on a Thanksgiving Daisy

A different perspective. It is always worth looking at a flower or ourselves from a different angle - for example, the perspective from which our children see us, not the public.
